Job Summary:
As a Galileo Expert in the International Air Ticketing department of Happyfares, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service to our customers by efficiently and accurately handling airline ticket bookings, reservations, and inquiries using the Galileo reservation system. Your expertise in Galileo will ensure that our clients receive seamless and stress-free travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Galileo Reservation and Booking:
Utilize the Galileo reservation system to make flight reservations, book tickets, and secure seat assignments for international travel.
Verify availability, schedules, fares, and seat configurations accurately.
Offer customers a range of flight options based on their preferences, including class, airlines, and layovers.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering travel solutions to meet customer needs.
Ensure customers receive accurate and up-to-date information regarding flight details, visa requirements, and travel policies.
Fare Calculation:
Calculate fares, taxes, fees, and surcharges accurately while considering currency conversions and special promotions.
Explain fare breakdowns to customers, assisting them in making informed decisions.
Itinerary Planning:
Create detailed travel itineraries, including flight schedules, hotel bookings, and ground transportation, to meet customer preferences and budget.
Suggest alternate routes and options for travelers when necessary.
Ticket Issuance and Documentation:
Issue electronic and paper tickets in compliance with airline and agency policies.
Prepare and review travel documents, including e-tickets, itineraries, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reservation Modifications and Cancellations:
Assist customers with changes to their travel plans, such as date changes, cancellations, and re-bookings.
Coordinate with airlines to process modifications and cancellations efficiently.
Compliance and Regulations:
Stay updated on airline policies, visa requirements, and travel regulations for various international destinations.
Ensure that customers are informed about any travel restrictions or documentation necessary for their trips.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
Proven experience as a Galileo Expert in international air ticketing.
Proficiency in using the Galileo reservation system is essential.
Strong knowledge of international airline fares, ticketing procedures, and regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in fare calculations and reservations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Multilingual skills may be an advantage.
Familiarity with other GDS systems is a plus.
